Haemorrhoids (hemorrhoids)

Common cause of bright red bleeding, itching, and discomfort—especially with constipation or straining.

Haemorrhoids do not explain all bleeding. Persistent bleeding or anaemia warrants assessment.

After banding

Mild pain/pressure and a small amount of bleeding can occur.
Seek care for heavy bleeding, fever, worsening pain.
